Sheriff P. J. Tanner was the featured speaker at the GIC General Meeting on July 2, 2020. Following is the answer to a question that was not addressed during the meeting and was provided later by Major Bob Bromage.
Response to an additional question from members of the GIC
We had one additional question for Sheriff Tanner and Major Bromage from our meeting on July 2, 2020. Here is the question:
We are all busy, all supportive, and many are bombarded by solicitations from law enforcement entities. Are there any of those that the Sheriff would especially recommend (or not). More importantly, if we were to choose to support you (Tanner) and local law enforcement how, where, what would that look like? Here is the answer from Major Bromage:
“We are both members and strongly support the mission of the 200 Club of the Coastal Empire. It is a nonprofit charitable organization 501 (c)(3), which provides immediate and lasting financial relief to the spouses and children of law enforcement officers, firefighters and paramedics, who have lost their lives in the line of duty in 20 Coastal Empire and Lowcountry counties, to include Beaufort County.
I have included a link to the 200 Club of the Coastal Empire’s website, which includes information on the organization, as well as instructions on how to join and how to make donations https://twohundredclub.org/
